Featured Painting
"33958 Winslow Street", 24" x 18", acrylic on canvas, $750
The house that I grew up in, kind of, sort of. Like a lot of my paintings it is a little bit of reality with a little bit more make believe.
I've been focused on making a series of paintings loosely based on the house that I grew up in. This particular painting represents my feelings about the house. It was small, warm and a bit funky with those green striped awnings. Don't you just love them? Our house really did have those. That is NOT make believe!
Happy Spring to you all...
Mary
P.S. For those of you that would like to give my gallery a little YELP

Talk about amazing. Check out the jewelry made by Liz Weaver of gBebos. She has used prints of my art in her beautiful handmade jewelry. Go to her website to see more or click on the image below to see a larger picture of this beautiful necklace.

Collector's Corner
I first met Barbara J. at an Open Studio a couple of years ago. She visited at the end of the day on a Saturday and said she was interested in a few pieces. The rest is history. see more
Student Work
This portrait of Bud Powell was made by Linda R. The assignment was to use dramatic lighting. Not only did Linda accomplish the assignment beautifully but her technique of painting lost and found edges is extra nice.
