Featured Art

"Red Cheek ", 12" x 12 ", collage, $200
This is one of my ongoing series of paintings on women. They come in all shapes and sizes, just like real life. This is one of the smaller ones. She's just one foot square. I thought Miss Red Cheek ended up looking a little saintly, just in time for the holidays.
I hope you have a wonderful holiday whatever you do, wherever you are, and whoever you are with.
With gratitude to all of you for your ongoing support. It means more than you'll ever know.
Happy Holidays!
Mary

I am hosting award-winning jewelry artist, Liz Weaver at this month's Art Walk. Her designs are a mixture of Swarovski crystals, metals, semi-precious stones and other findings.
Liz has been designing jewelry for over 12 years and has received several accolades over the last couple of years in international bead and design competitions. It was just announced that Liz received 2nd place in the Washington D.C. Bead Museum Contest 'Celebrating Beads' the journey of…
Recently, she has been designing her pieces using a process called right angle weave. One of her creations 'Kai Nalu' a necklace was chosen as a finalist in the Bead and Button 'Bead Dreams' Contest and will be featured in a special Crystal issue of Bead and Button magazine in April of 2009.
In 2007, she was chosen as a finalist in the Create-Your-Style Swarovski Crystal contest and was also a finalist in the 2008 Rio Grande Saul Bell awards.

Every day there are thousands of memories that we experience. Everything
we do leads to another. Everything we do affects us as well as everyone you
interact with and who they interact with. We are left with the inability to
control these moments. No matter what you do, something will effect this
wave of moments.
This is my answer to that call. If you happen to be in Georgia on
December 12, please check it out.

Each painting is 3" x 3" acrylic on canvas.

And the winner is...
Esther Kamkar. I happen to know Esther, and she is an amazing poet amongst other things. She chose the painting "Pomegranate" for wining the contest. It was as easy as subscribing to my BLOG. Congratulations, Esther!

Hire me to teach a Workshop to your group.

My friend Therese May teaches workshops to groups around the Bay area and beyond. I love the idea so much I stole it, well borrowed sounds better. Of course, my lineup doesn't quite compare with hers. She has an extensive list of classes available for all skill levels.
And I have my first ever Workshop offering that I would love to teach to your group. Pass the word!
