"Counting Birds ", 24" x 20", mixed media on canvas, $750

I am having lots of fun working with symbols, seeing "my" birds creep back into my work and to be creating spontaneously. Nothing has been worked out in advance - most everything you see on the canvas is solved on the canvas.

I tend to count things - steps when I walk, stairs when I’m climbing up them. I like to add numbers in my head. In this painting I am counting birds.

I am so happy to announce that jewelry designer Liz Weaver of gBebos will be my guest artist at this month's Art Walk.

Liz fuses the beauty of color and bold shapes to create truly striking pieces. Beautiful color combinations and sleek movement attract the eye to each and every piece. She uses sparkling hues of semi-precious stones including Swarowski crystals, handmake lampwork glass, and a unique mix of beads to create her one-of-a kind pieces.

Live music in the Courtyard Galleria by The Gro Wiser Band. They play Moody Blues with A Caribbean flavor & Soft Jazz beat. Emerson's soulful, crisp, rich vocals, along with Sahar Miller's dynamic saxophone create true confession love songs to match your emotion.

Hang out - enjoy art - live music - refreshments!!
