This little girl has shown up a lot lately. She is somewhat autobiographical. She is from a b&w photo I bought at an antique store somewhere, sometime. I really don't remember. I sure do like her 'don't mess with me' look.
Very Special Art Walk on Friday, March 20, 6-9 p.m.
I am very excited about this month's Art Walk. I am hosting a poetry reading that begins at 7:30. I have invited Mark Heinlein to read his poetry. There will also be a guest poet in addition to Mark.
Mark Heinlein’s work cuts to the emotional bone of our daily activities. From eating leftover kung pao chicken, flocking Christmas trees, grocery shopping, to contemplating the magnitude of war and the inevitable struggles with mortality, to the fine caresses of lovers, Mark’s work finds beauty and humanity in the mundane aspects of our lives. A finalist for the 2008 Edwin Markham Poetry Prize, his work has been performed live on the radio, and he has read his poems at the Cinequest Festival and at bars, galleries, bedrooms and bookstores throughout Northern California.
I hope you will be able to make it. It's going to be great fun and very cool.
