"Grandma's Room", 36 x 24", acrylic on canvas, $2500
Every now and then I think it's a good idea to paint one of the masters paintings. It's stretches the artist into new techniques, color usage, design and process. You get the idea, it's like being in school. One cannot help but learn something new which is always a good thing.
I painted a couple of Max Beckmann's paintings and then made this painting based on a photograph a college friend made. I felt like I had a new way to put paint down on the canvas.
Thank you to everyone who was able to come to my One-Year Anniversary Party. You helped make it loads of fun.

• I had a great time in the class and it was nice to meet all of you. I seldom have the opportunity these days to create with other creative people! It was a lot of fun. My poor husband had to hear me talk about it for 3 ½ hours all the way to Bear Valley that evening!
